Contact Person: Fr. Jerome Chavarria, C.Ss.R. jeromec@saintjamescatholic.org
Parish Council is a committee which has the primary responsibility of advising the pastor on decisions pertaining to the common good of the parish and its overall missions. Meetings are held each month. The council members include six at-large members and three officers (Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Secretary). The chairs of the seven parish commissions and parish clergy serve as ex-officio members of the council. The at-large members serve for two year or three year terms as determined by the pastor. Each spring the council places a call for candidates in the parish bulletin. Each parishioner is welcome to recommend a candidate (or themselves) for consideration. The at-large council members are selected from that list.
