Lector Procedures
Reminder of Current Lectoring Procedures
- It is imperative Lectors arrive 20 mins before Mass when they serve and let the Sacristan know that the Lector is present. If you are not at church by 10 minutes prior the Sacristan will have to find a last minute replacement in the congregation.
- Lectors should hold the Book of Gospels at eye level when they proceed and not high over their head.
- At the closing procession leave the Book of Gospels at the Ambo and proceed without the Book.
